In other words, whether you enjoy sirloin, rib-eye,  porterhouse, or tenderloin, all of them provide about 7 grams of protein per ounce. Therefore, about 3 ounces of steak in your dinner will offer you about 21 grams of protein. So, this is quite essential to know because you can chalk out your diet in this way. 

What Should Be The Protein Requirements?

If you had a sufficient idea of steak protein then you should also know how much protein you need per day. So, your diet should have 30 to 35% of calories coming from protein as per Dietary Guidelines. Moreover, it’s also worth adding that all types of proteins have around 4 calories per gram. So, if you consume, let’s say about 2,200 calories per day then you do need about 55 to 190 grams of protein each day. 

However, if you are a vigorous worker then of course you need to increase the amount. In other words, we recommend you stick to the higher end. On the other hand, if you don’t work out that much and are pretty much sedentary, then you should follow the 55 to 70 mark. It’s important not to consume too many calories unless your body is ready for it.
